Credit Transfer Information

Moraine Park Technical College students have many options for transferring their technical college credits to a four-year institution and many graduates have had success in applying their technical college credits to baccalaureate degrees at a variety of institutions.   Some students may be able to transfer diploma level courses.  The granting of such credit is at the discretion and based on the policies of each prospective college or university.   Moraine Park admissions advisors are available to provide specific information and help students interested in this option to get in touch with the appropriate institution.

Moraine Park has numerous formal "articulation" agreements with campuses of the University of Wisconsin System. In addition, formal agreements exist with many independent (private) colleges in Wisconsin, as well as with colleges and universities in other states.

These agreements typically align the course work of one or more Moraine Park programs and a specific baccalaureate major at the relevant four-year institution.   In addition to credit transfer related to specific Moraine Park programs, the University of Wisconsin System accepts credits of General Education course work at any of its 13 campuses.
